Booted up the AMD powered pooter this morning to read on my Google News page about the 40 something dork Missouri doctor who celebrated his 10th wedding anniversary by throwing his 4 & 8 year old sons off a Miami balcony above Collins Ave and then jumping to his own death...all in front of his wife at the Loews hotel.

Intrepid local Missouri law enforcement officers like Lt. Kelly Hodges of Godfrey Missouti were not taking the story at face value though, and were looking for a bigger conspicay. Perhaps even a link to Al Qaeda. When informed by Miami PD of the death, they immediately began searching the man's home in a gated community outside St. Louis for clues that could implicate the grief stricken wife.

"We don't want to tip our hand with these people," Hodges said. "She has contacts here locally. This may be a murder, we don't know. She's the only one alive."

Then it made me think of the idiotic paranoid pandemic sweeping our country ever since the post-911 mentality hit the scene hard...

My fave paranoid power grab of recent days was the apparent sounds of construction being mistaken for gunfire at the Capitol building in DC last Friday afternoon...causing the entire building to be held under a retarded "safety first" lockdown...

Not out of character in a building that has security personnel on hand to take down any suspicious charcaters, say like multi term black Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney ...

Last month I read about a 19 year old gas station clerk (cum Chicken Little character) in the moutains outside Santa Cruz who was praised by power hungry "safety first" overtime raking law enforcement dolts for his "quick thinking".

Seems our intrepid graveyard shift employee spotted a "suspicious" vehicle that left a "mysterious" package behind a gas station. He quickly ran the circumstances through his media fed vivid imagination Mission Impossible III scenario generator and informed properly paranoid local law enforcement who were called in to deal with the matter

Too bad if you were one of the thousands of morning commuters who were stuck in the backed up traffic for hours while a bomb detecting robot & several TV crews were deployed to check out a ketchup smeared fast food container...

Today in San Francisco, so unlike last weeks Bay To Breakers race... is a colorful march featuring half clothed paraders & dancers called Carnaval...

all ending in a giant two day block party...

I actually slipped in & marched in it a couple years ago myself in true guerilla style, with the Extra Action Marching Band ... we merged in somewhere amongst the 100,000 spectators & participants and confused lots of people including most importantly the judges...but sorry, i ain't got no pix & besides, I showed no booty...
